Art and Wine in Joshua Tree: A Cure-ated Experience
Nov 08, 2024I recently had the pleasure of hosting a cure - ated art and wine event in a luxury property I sold recently in Joshua Tree, blending the elegance of fine wine with the beauty of locally inspired art. This experience was about more than just enjoying wine; it was about celebrating selling the highest priced home in Joshua Tree, supporting local art, and fostering a sense of community.
A Collaboration with Panda Landa’s Inspiring Art
In organizing this event, I knew I wanted to showcase something truly unique, so I reached out to Panda Landa, a talented artist I discovered through the Highway 62 Art Tours. Panda’s work is all about sustainability and creating stunning pieces from second-hand materials sourced from local thrift stores. From self-dyed fabrics to intricate beadwork, the art is vibrant, playful, and full of character.
Having always worked closely with small farmers and local purveyors in California, I’m passionate about supporting creators who are doing things differently. When I saw Panda’s art, I knew their work would be a perfect fit for the event and paired perfectly with the property style and wine. Each piece is inspired by the desert's sunrises and sunsets perfectly complementing the Joshua Tree vibe.
Panda’s creative process is truly special. They build fabric designs one color at a time, while the beaded works grow organically from a single word or idea. Panda's commitment to sustainability-reducing waste and reimagining materials-really resonated with the community and added an extra layer of meaning to the event.
If you’re interested in Panda’s art, you can find more details and shop here. PS, the jacket I wore for the evening is a custom creation by Panda:

A Celebration of Art, Wine, and Community
This gathering reminded me of the magic that happens when we bring together wine, art, and people who value creativity and sustainability. Hosting the event in a property that captures the essence of Joshua Tree made it even more special. Through Panda Landa’s inspiring art, our guests were able to see how sustainable materials can become something beautiful, and our carefully selected wines added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
